Daisy Mae Redding

This is Daisy Mae Redding, adopted several years ago from BHRSC! She has been our joy ever since! Daisy came from a neglectful home, and had a few trust issues, but she has come such a long way! She is now the benevolent queen of our household, also known as She Who Must Be Obeyed! (Fomer Spottie)

Otis owns Cassandra, Dylan, Patti and Bruce Irwin

Hello Basset Hound Rescue! We adopted Otis in January through BHRSC. He was living with a family who adopted him 2 years ago but couldn’t keep him. We met him on recommendation of Maxine. We brought him to the Animal Planet taping where we got to meet many of you

Otis is such a great dog! He is so lovable and is great with our kids and their friends. He always has to be near us when we are home, and follows me from room to room. He loves his walks, and has learned not to be curious about the neighbor’s cat. Our friends and neighbors love him, and all the kids at school want to come over to see Otis. He is our big love-bug!! He has adjusted so well to his new home, and he doesn’t have any behavior issues that we can see (other than being a bit stubborn—a Basset trait). Many thanks to the BHRSC for bringing Otis to us, and many thanks for the wonderful work you do.

Forssi Family

We too have four dogs (three which are Bassetts (all rescued) and they are all around ten years old. Two of them are 85 lbs and very happy! The other one is 65 lbs and very bossy. Anyway when the time comes to adopt some new Bassetts we will let you know! Here is a picture of us on one of our daily outings including Blake who is a mixed breed dog. (also Rescued and the boss of all)

Sincerely yours,

Charles and Doris Forssi

The year was 2002. Our Bootsie was getting up in years. We saw your cute little face in our website. Lily,a teeny,tiny,Tri-color. We brought you home and loved you. Two Bassets are way better than one. Your crazy antics, kisses and soulful look have touched our lives for five years. Our "Lily girl".

Rosco

Rosco has settled into his new home and LOVES it. He's got a pal to play with all the time - Flash, our other Basset and even likes the cat. He gets along great with the whole family and loves to go on trips to the dog park, take walks, visit with my brother's two dogs (LOTS of fun to play with), and to learn new tricks - anything that involves lots of treats and belly rubs are his favorite things to do. He has even discovered the joy of toys. Rosco has definitely been a great addition to the family.
