FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
“10th Annual Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California Spring Games”
ARCADIA, CA – Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California (BHRSC) would like to take the time to let everyone know about our 5th Annual Basset Hound Spring Games to be held the 19th of May at Arcadia Park in beautiful Arcadia, California. Located on the corner of Huntington and Santa Anita.
We have games and events for registered Basset hounds and trophies and ribbons for the winners of those events. Volunteers, Kids and local community celebrities when available, often judge the main events. The in the ring and out of the ring activities consist of 15 different events. The cost to register your Basset is $15 per hound with all proceeds going to BHRSC to rescue the hounds. The events are listed below.
BHRSC will also be having a raffle with a great number of wonderful prizes to win. Each ticket will be $1 with all proceeds going to BHRSC. If you are interested in donating any raffle item to BHRSC, please check our web site for some gift ideas and where to bring your donations if you are not coming to the Spring Games. This is our year’s biggest fundraiser. We will also be having Madame Tessab the world famous Basset Paw Reader and a Basset Masseuse on hand for your hounds needs. Other booths with different items for sale and services will also be there. All proceeds go to BHRSC to help rescue the hounds.
This event is held every year to raise funds and bring to the forefront the rescuing of the Basset Hound breed along with their medical needs, social and the financial aspects. The Spring Games gives BHRSC the opportunity to raise community awareness and money for rescue and rehabilitation of the Basset Hound. It also gives us a chance to show off their talents and the wonderful family aspects of owning a Basset Hound. Plus answer the public’s questions as it might concern to the breed. So bring your family and your hound..
BHRSC strives to find just the right home for each Basset Hound we rescue. We also take the time to do home visits for potential adaptors and make sure the potential family has all the information and support they need with their new loved one. If you are chosen to adopt from BHRSC, the cost is $200. It helps to offset the initial cost of rescuing a hound, which at some times can be in the thousands of dollars if the hound has had medical problems when rescued. BHRSC is a non-profit 501c (3) charity which makes all your donations tax deductible. We foster community and personal involvement in rescuing this fine breed and continue to provide information to the public so they may be aware of the Basset Hound’s needs. This event is free to the general public unless you are registering a hound for the in the ring events. Cost for registration is $15 per hound. This is a Basset Hound only event
